November 2009: An equestrian evening and fashion show attracted some 150 people to EOSF's Country Store on the evening of 12th November.

October 2009: EOSF report record turnover profit and grain tonnage for the year ended 31 May 2009.  Grain pool payments have also exceeded expectations, making it a hugely successful 50th year for the Society.

October 2009: Bob Morris stands down from the Board of Directors after 10 years as Chairman, and over 30 years as a director.  Gid Rutherford also retires after 22 years service.  David Mitchell (Pairney, Auchterarder) and Colin Dargie (Ledyatt, Lundie) join the Board, and George McLaren becomes the Society's fourth Chairman.

May 2009: Open Day held on 22nd May 2009, to celebrate fifty years of successful trading for East of Scotland Farmers.

November 2008: First Equestrian Evening held on 13th November 2008 in the Country Store.

October 2008: AGM held on 27th October 2008 at the Red House Hotel, Coupar Angus.

September 2008: First ever Livestock Farmer Meeting held in the Red House Hotel, Coupar Angus.

June 2008: EOSF's Country Store re-establishes itself as a force in Animal Health Products. Customers are encouraged to speak to our two SQP staff for an unbeatable combination of value and service.

May 2008: New picture to advertise Country Store. We think this photo really does say a thousand words - how else can we convey the huge range of products available in our store?

April 2008: Peter A A Grewar is co-opted to the Board of Directors.

December 2007: New Country Store opens its doors for the first time, providing a much wider range of goods in a modern environment.

June 2007: MALTING BARLEY SUPPLY CHAIN VISIT. Eighteen members enjoyed a trip to Aberfeldy Distillery courtesy of Greencore Malt and John Dewar & Sons on 12th June. Presentations from EOSF, Greencore and Dewars highlighted a positive future for malting barley, malt and Scotch whisky with growing demand leading to firm prices.

May 2007: A very informative crop packaging clinic was held at EOSF on 9th May. Around 20-25 members heard a presentation from Lloyd Dawson of BPI, makers of top-selling bale wrap, Silotite. Lloyd then demonstrated the theory, making use of EOSF's own wrapper. Also in attendance was Judith Clayton from additive manufacturer Ecosyl, who are supplying product through EOSF for the first time.

April 2007: Ag-chem Alert Approvals for a number of active ingredients are being altered or withdrawn in the year ahead. Growers must be careful that they do not carry excess stock of those products affected. Product Approval Information Sheet (pdf)

March 2007: New shop planned at EOSF! Plans are being drawn up for a new shop at EOSF, which will (subject to planning permission) be constructed in the autumn. This will allow more product lines, better display, more efficient check-out, and independent operating hours for the shop.

February 2007: EOSF and Agrovista have entered into an agreement whereby Agrovista will store chemicals at EOSF. This has twin benefits for EOSF & members: firstly, it will increase the range and quantity of chemicals held in stock, and secondly, it will share the overhead costs of operating the store.
